Terms and Conditions

Effective date: 1 January 2025  ·  Last updated: 30 April 2026

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using DALOVU (“the Platform”). By registering or using any part of the service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or accessing DALOVU at dalovu.co.za, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of Service

DALOVU is a professional document creation platform that allows users to generate resumes, ATS-optimised CVs, cover letters, business quotations, tax invoices, and scanned PDF document packs. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.

3. User Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
  • One account per person. Multiple accounts for the same individual are not permitted.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use DALOVU to:

  • Create fraudulent, misleading, or defamatory documents.
  • Violate any applicable law or regulation, including South African law.
  • Upload malicious files, scripts, or content designed to harm the platform or other users.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform's functionality or templates.
  • Resell or redistribute platform outputs as your own product or service.

5. Your Content

You retain ownership of the content you input into DALOVU (your name, employment history, business details, etc.). By using the Platform, you grant DALOVU a limited, non-exclusive licence to store and process that content solely for the purpose of delivering the service to you. We do not claim ownership of your documents.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of all content you create. DALOVU is not liable for documents that contain errors, omissions, or misrepresentations.

6. Intellectual Property

The DALOVU name, logo, platform design, templates, and underlying software are the exclusive intellectual property of DALOVU and its developers. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of our intellectual property to you. Unauthorised copying, reproduction, or distribution of platform assets is prohibited.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

DALOVU is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. We make no guarantees about the fitness of generated documents for any specific job application or business purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DALOVU and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform — including loss of data, employment opportunities, or business revenue. Our total liability in any event shall not exceed the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when changes occur. Continued use of DALOVU after a change constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
